What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My strength is that when I research, I am thorough and use multiple sources to refer to in my work. Two examples of my substantial researches are the tasks we had to do for Genre Changing Trailer and Interactive Magazine. I am also good at writing and practice with different styles like poetry and general writing. I do it in my off time as a hobby so I can easily adapt to multiple different writing styles if needed
However I will say that my weakness is that when it comes to researching, I often have a habit of sometimes focusing on one detail. I want to make sure that all of my work is to a high standard and can get stuck on the proofreading and editing process because of it at times, as I aim to always improve upon my work
Roleplay
One of my strengths in the interview was that I had a good introduction and used examples well
My weaknesses is that in the introductions I should have talked more, something along the lines of "Thank you for taking the time to interview me.". When answering the second question I lost eye contact and starting fidgeting. For question 3 I should've asked for more time to think instead of sitting there. There were two questions where I didn't know what to answer so I said nothing, there were a few questions that I didn't get around to answering because of this
Research
News UK is a parent company that owns many popular brands such as The Sun and The Times. They have multiple policies such as their Anti-Bribery Policy and Workplace Conduct Policy to ensure that their workplace is correct and respectable. They aim to reduce their carbon footprint by 25% in 2025 and have less landfill waste within the company. In one of their newspapers (The Times) they have a campaign dedicated to helping people with lung and heart diseases, called Clean Air for All. In 2018 the company created their Diversity Board to uplift their voices and have more diverse members in their work force. They aim to have a 50/50 gender equality and at least have 20% of their staff as an ethnic minority. To help with this they're part of the Journalism Diversity Fund and have apprenticeships available to train minorities that are interested in journalism. The skills the company says they can develop are leadership and mentoring. They do apprenticeships, E-learning and qualifications
On their LinkedIn page they say that they thrive on diversity and that their members challenge themselves and have a passion for making the "best content possible". They also desire creativity in their staff
