Proposal Pitch (Draft)

Daily Diary 01/03

Today I did my proposal pitch. I'll have time to make improvements on it tomorrow if needed

I'm not completely happy with my proposal as doing this made me realise I wasn't completely set on the fundamentals for the show such as the target audience, but I also know that I'll have time tomorrow to improve on it so hopefully I'll know by then. I may have to bring up some of the problems I had with completing the pitch with the rest of the production team

Pitch Evalution

In the pitch I think I did decently. At the beginning I may have looked at the board too much, but later on I was able to present myself and talk in a more confident manner. I had to look at my notes a lot for the second slide I did but that was mostly because I had to talk for so long while also being detailed. I think I got my point across for the most part. I originally had much more text in my slides and my “que cards” but I decided to make it shorter and I think doing that really helped me overall

The feedback we got from the pitch was very informative. We were asked about the third round (physical) of our game show and we were able to expand upon that round specifically. The round will now have each contestant try and get a box from a bigger box, each box will then either add or take away to the current prize pool. The contestants can only open one box though, so they’ll have to trust each other that the box they chose is the right one. It has a bit of luck involved as the contestants don’t truly know

We need to talk about the budget as a team and also think about where we will source the props (such as the boxes) from, the questions for the trivia, the comparable objects for the second round and the actual contestants themselves. We need eight contestants as four of them will only show up for the rehearsal, so this also means we have to prepare separate questions for them later on as well

Daily Diary 02/03

Today I did another production meeting, presented my proposal pitch with the rest of the production team and wrote an evaluation for it. For homework I have to finish the improvements on my written proposal and source 20 questions for the trivia and 4 objects for the higher/lower game

The pitch went better than I thought it would as I was a little nervous to talk so much during one of my allocated slides. I noted that we might have to warn the contestants that the set can get hot because of the stage lights. I’m only in charge of the graphics for round 4, but I want all the rounds to still have a theme so I will have to talk to my production team to co-ordinate

Proposal Pitch (Final)

Daily Diary 03/03

Today I worked on my camera script and my graphics in the meantime. During the weekend I only want to complete the Graphic Plan

At first I was worried about the opening but I think the idea I came up with is really good. It's a bit complicated to edit so I'm worried it'll turn out bad, but I think it'll be heavily worth it if it does end up how I want it to. I still have to put my production meeting 4 audio in and I couldn't put the proposal pitch anywhere because it was too much space

Script (Final)

Group Camera Script

Daily Diary 08/03

Today I finished the group camera script with the other camera operators

I think we did fine with the camera script, I did worry about not having enough diverse shots in the show but most quiz game shows have basic shots like we do as well. If there are any problems I can change them later on anyway

Production Meeting 5

- discussed how far we were in finishing all of our pre-production & paperwork

Individual Camera Script

Daily Diary 09/03

Today I had a production meeting with the rest of the team. I finished my individual camera script and both graphic plans

Once again I still have a bit of the same doubts as yesterday, but with the rehearsal coming up next week I know I'll be able to make any adjustments if I need to. I realise now that I started working on the round 4 graphic too early, but at the same time I'm okay with that since I'll probably need more time

I added a push transition to my round 4 graphic by going on the Project window, clicked on Effects, then clicked on Video Transitions, went on Slide and then dragged Push to the element I wanted it to be on

Round 4 Graphics

Daily Diary 10/03

Today I worked on my opening and round 4 graphics, I also worked on the set design. On Tuesday I'll have to come at 9:30am for a rehearsal. I also have to finish my opening graphics afterward

I decided to have the "globe" in the opening rotate forwards instead of backwards, this is because I realised it'd be much difficult to go backwards since I'd have to layer the graphics every time they went behind the globe and I was worried about not having enough time. I realise that I don't actually have music for my opening yet, so over the weekend I'll definitely have to find a short 10 second tune that'll work
